This Week in the Community:
Wednesday, May 17, 6 - 8pm - A Discussion of "Isms", Wood County Public Library.
This workshop is interactive and designed to be a springboard for discussions of the sensitive topics and issues around various "ism" issues and to get participants thinking about assumptions, stereotypes and choices we make. These topics have a definite impact on our community. We benefit from hearing stories relating to life experiences, especially from those who identify differently from us. We can shift attitudes and build allies.
Thursday, June 1, 6 - 8pm- A Focus on LGBTG and Ally Building, Wood County Public Library.
This workshop provides education concerning LGBTQ issues and seeks to improve the environment for people who are, in record numbers, openly identifying as such. In the face of a changing political landscape, our goal is to strengthen and expand a support network of allies for the Bowling Green LGBTQ community.

August 7 - 11, 9a m- 3pm - Hogwarts Camp
The Maumee Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation is proud to hold our third annual Hogwarts Summer Camp, a children's day-camp inspired by J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books!
At MVUUC Hogwarts, young wizards (grades K through 8th grade) join a vibrant, fun, and magical community. They participate in service activities for the community and congregation, a variety of magical classes, Quidditch matches and Knowledge Bowls to promote healthy competition, and they learn more about themselves in a safe, welcoming environment.
The theme for this year's camp is "Time Turner: The Time is Now," a reference to a time-traveling device (the Time Turner) used by Hermione in the third Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
This year's classes and special guests will focus on "life is short - now is the time for action."
Camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, August 7th-11th.
