Religious Education (RE)

Religious education at MVUUC strives to be an integrated religious community sharing a learning experience and spiritual journey together. We work to create a place where people of all ages can ask the important questions in a safe, caring, and fun atmosphere. We foster an understanding of each individual's role in this worldwide, liberal religious community, where what we do is a reflection of what we believe. Our religious education program will help our young people to become adults who are loving and respectful of themselves and their UU community, as well as others and the Earth we share. The program will nurture the confidence that they can make a positive difference.

Programming begins with children entering preschool, and childcare is provided for babies and toddlers.  Children from preschool through 6th grade participate in our Spirit Play Religious Education Classroom.

NOTE: Until further notice, weekly RE session for kids will be held on zoom at 10:00 a.m.  Although this session is geared a bit more to 1st-4th grade, all ages are welcome to join.  For the zoom login information, please see our weekly newsletter or contact the Director of Religious Education, Sarah Rainey-Smithback at dre@mvuuc.org
